Amsterdam, 17 June 2022 – YAYS and RE:BORN Real Estate are joining forces in the heart of Scheveningen. RE:BORN is currently working on the plans to redevelop the current outdated office building at the Gevers Deynootweg 61 into the next in their series of multi-functional buildings. A building that can continuously adapt to new functions.
For the next 20 years it will be converted into new YAYS serviced apartments. After an intensive cooperation of the past period between both parties led by Joris Tensen, Head of Development of YAYS and Jouke Hennipman, Real Estate Developer of RE:BORN, Zachary Schwartz, CEO of YAYS Group and Niel Slob CEO of RE:BORN signed the long term lease agreement yesterday during the real estate exhibition Provada 2022 in the booth of the Municipality of The Hague.

With this circular and gasless redevelopment we want to bring back the lost grandeur to Scheveningen. Moreover, we found each other in adaptability of the building. In the short term, YAYS will soon be able to respond to the market by season by linking several studios into two and three room apartments and in the long term it will be suitable for living and as a hotel and office.”

RE:BORN is the developing investor, bringing back Grandeur to the outdated ´SEAVIEW´ property using their dynamic, cherished & sustainable vision. YAYS Group offers stylish boutique apartments for short- and long-stay. The property will be transformed into 66 serviced apartments and can simultaneously be linked into 34 larger apartments.

The ‘SEAVIEW’ property and its Scheveningen grandeur
The building dates from 1982 and consists of 8 floors. The location has a rich history with the first images of buildings dating back to 1880. The grandeur that was present in Scheveningen in the past has disappeared in many places with the current type of buildings. The new design is based on the precious building from the past.
