Chef-patron Nicolas (a former rugby player) is the head of this perfectly formed bistro, whose tight-knit team welcome both regulars and newcomers like family. Dishes use locally sourced seasonal ingredients and are rooted in the cuisine of south-western France, but the chef gives many of them a contemporary slant through judicious use of Thai flavours. Wines, too, are a joy.
